Meet Our Founders
Kara Jenelle Wade
Founder
​Kara earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education & Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She created Delta Chi Xi with the purpose to serve in Dance Departments on a collegiate level, as well as to build a network for dance professionals. She is currently pursuing her career in the Los Angeles area, and has been blessed to tour internationally with Step Afrika!, perform live with Fantasia & Kat Graham, and appear in music videos for Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams, Sean Kingston, and more. Beyond her performance career, she strongly believes in giving back to others as she has raised sponsorship for her mission trips and study abroad to Kenya, El Salvador and South Africa. While she continues to develop as an artist, she also pours into the growth of Delta Chi Xi for her fellow students of dance.
Jennifer Renee Cheek
Co-Founder
Jennifer earned her BFA in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She believes in the purpose of Delta Chi Xi and the importance of education through dance arts. She currently teaches dance full-time for Cumberland County Public School System in her hometown of Fayetteville, NC.​
Kristina Michelle Rogers
Visionary
Kristina earned her BFA in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her aspirations for Delta Chi Xi through education and outreach were sewn into the core of our foundation. She currently teaches dance full-time for Alamance County Burlington School System in North Carolina. Ms. Rogers is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
